SHARD OF THE FIRST INSTRUMENT
Recovered from the debris field of Planet II, the shard is cut from starglass — basalt fused at a heat no forge reaches. One glyph survives on its face: ⚹, the signal.
Whoever engraved it was charting the same stars. It is the founding object of Atlaris — proof that instruments outlast their makers, and the standard every world we build is held to.
